Miss Arizona Volunteer Launches Call for 2026 Successor

From the 8th-Grade Classroom to the National Stage: Miss Arizona Volunteer Cammy Thomas Steps into the Spotlight and Launches Call for 2026 Successor

PHOENIX — Fresh off the national stage, the Miss Arizona Volunteer Organization is proud to announce the official homecoming of Cammy Thomas, Miss Arizona Volunteer 2026, following her exceptional performance representing the state at the Miss Volunteer America pageant this summer.

Now back in Arizona, Thomas is rolling up her sleeves to merge her prestigious state title with her daily real-world calling. Outside of the crown, Thomas is a certified educator who spends her days teaching eighth-grade science and is currently expanding her impact as a first-generation master’s student pursuing a Master of Social Work at Grand Canyon University.

Leveraging her background in both the classroom and social welfare, Thomas is utilizing her post-nationals momentum to dedicate herself to the community through her official platform, Fight 4 Our Future, which focuses entirely on promoting educational equity and expanding resource access for underserved youth.

"Representing Arizona on the national stage at Miss Volunteer America was an incredible honor, but the true work begins right here at home," said Thomas. "As an eighth-grade teacher, I see firsthand the disparities our students face. My mission is to use this platform to dismantle those barriers, ensuring every student in Arizona has the equity, tools, and confidence they deserve to succeed both inside and outside the classroom."

To kick off her homecoming tour, Thomas has announced her community initiative: The Fight 4 Our Future Prom Dress Drive. Aimed directly at alleviating the financial burdens associated with major high school milestones, the drive collects gently used formal wear to distribute to low-income and Title I school students who otherwise would be unable to attend their milestone school events.

Thomas is now officially available and booking community appearances, school visits, youth mentorship workshops, and STEM-focused events throughout the state.

Concurrently, the Miss Arizona Volunteer Organization is issuing its final call for young women to join the organization's legacy of service. Applications are actively being accepted for the upcoming state pageant on October 3, 2026, at The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Crock Performing Arts Center in Phoenix, where thousands of dollars in college scholarships will be awarded. Contestant spots are filling quickly.

Young women ages 17 to 26 who are passionate about education, community service, and personal empowerment are highly encouraged to apply. No prior pageant experience is required.
