Meet Miss Arizona Volunteer 2026
Cammy Thomas, Miss Arizona Volunteer 2026, is a passionate educator, advocate, and servant leader dedicated to advancing educational equity and empowering the next generation. A certified Arizona teacher and first-generation master’s student, Cammy is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Grand Canyon University, building on her academic foundation that includes a Master of Elementary Education from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Indiana University.
As the founder of her S.E.R.V.E. initiative, Fight 4 Our Future, Cammy is committed to eliminating education inequality by addressing critical gaps in access to resources, mentorship, and opportunity. Through her leadership, the initiative has facilitated prom dress drives benefiting Title I schools, conducted read-aloud programs in elementary classrooms, and supported mentorship opportunities for young girls. Her work reflects both strategic vision and hands-on service, with plans to expand programming, establish nonprofit status, and grow community partnerships across Arizona and beyond.
Cammy’s has served as both an elementary and middle school teacher, bringing firsthand insight into the systemic challenges facing underserved students. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom through her involvement with Teach For America and Delta Phi Epsilon, where she has championed initiatives promoting inclusion, leadership development, and social responsibility.
As Miss Arizona Volunteer, Cammy is committed to serving as a visible and impactful ambassador for the Miss Volunteer America organization. She has set an ambitious goal of completing 600 appearances during her year of service, inspiring communities to take action in support of educational justice. With a long-term vision of becoming Arizona State Superintendent, Cammy is driven to create lasting, systemic change—ensuring that every student, regardless of background, has access to a quality education and a brighter future.
